Can someone explain to me the difference between a golden 39A and a golden 39AS?

  According to the Blue Book, the Golden 39A was made from 1957--1987,
  similar to the Model 39A, with gold-plated trigger, sling swivels.
  The 39AS is the current production model. This model was previously designated the Model 39A. In 1988, the 39AS became the standard production model and included a rebounding hammer and hammer block.
