suggestions?
What would you suggest for someone who only wants one handgun for defense and possible carry?

I am looking for a cheap yet quality scope set-up for my mak-90. Is there such a thing? Tell me what you think.

The "problem" (just from my reading on the subject, since I'm looking to scope some AK types) is the mounting system. I 've read that even the Eastern Block side-mount rails are troublesome if you're trying to use an American scope--there sometimes won't be enough adjustment range in the scope to zero it; the rails can be "off" that much.
Robinson Armament has an interesting mount--with extra adjustment in the mount itself--which I'm thinking of trying. (I'll post a link later when I have time.)
As for your "cheap, but quality" requirement--that could be more difficult.0 -
B-Square makes a mount that works great .I have two and both work perfectly.

Butler creek makes a good mount I have one with a Red Dot scope on it and it has been used alot and worked perfectly.I think when you buy your mount you need to talk to someone in sales that knows Guns or call Butler Creek and buy from themor find out which model yu need. They have a couple mounts that will work, but one that is made just for your gun.It seems thats where most run into complications mounting their scope.
Best!!
