need stainless screws for scope rings
Where can i find stainless steel screws for a encore Duo-Ring scope base I broke one of the screws that hold the rings toether I E-mailed thompson and they no longer have the stainless screws avaible I can't compare it to any thing to get the size all I know is it is the exact size that pacific reloading dies uses to hold the collar ring tight it is 3/8 long fits a little loose in 1/8 hole but wont fit in a 7/64 hole it is not metric at least it didn't match any metric at hardware store if anyone could help me out with any or even size would be greatful Thanks Kevin I would like stainless or would consider silver

Try 8-32 10-32 screw size or 8-24 or 10-24 If that is the right thread size just get a long set screw cut to the right size bevel the end where you cut it and it should go right in.

Hey cbxjeff that is all I need is a socket head cap screw Thompson says it is 5-40 But I never saw that size I checked the threads it is 40 but I didn/t have a mic to check dia I checked with a drill bit guide and it wont fit in 7/64 but it is just a very little loose in 1/8 It is 3/8 long If you would have 4 I would be more than happy to buy them off of you My e-mail is kevin@digital-link.net Thanks Kevin 0 -
They are 5x40 Brownell's part # 080-050-540 these are sloted screws but will work. 0 -
