TAURUS FIREARMS
I KNOW TAURUS FIREARMS COME WITH LIFETIME WARRANTIES, BUT THAT DOESN'T NECESARILY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR QUALITY....DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE, INPUT OR OPINIONS ABOUT TAURUS, TITANIUM SNUB NOSE .38, IN PARTICULAR OR THEIR .45???

I bought the total titanium .38 2" 5 shot ported. The quality was very good. It is very light, and it kicks very hard. I sold that, and bought a Taurus 617 SS 7 shot .357 2" ported. With full factory rounds, the .357 kicks half what the titanium did. I shoot at old cd's. The Taurus is very accurate. I can hit them at 50-100 yds everytime. I really like the 617, and will never sell it. This is the gun i'm trusting my life on.

I am far from a expert, but my personal experience with Taurus revolvers has been great.I have a blued steel 85 snub nose,a 4inch barreled 357,and a stainless 22 in my collection and all are great shooters. The 38 snub has been fired the most with over 2k rounds through it.I have shoot standard loads, rarely p+,but never any troubles.
Hope it helps,CW0 -
I have 2 taurus revolvers 85 ultra-lite in stainless and a .357 mag Tracker in stainless with 6in barrel. Both are very good shooters and the quaility is as good as any better firearm manufactures (S&W, Dan Wesson....). My .357 has earned alot of new customers for Taurus. Once they shoot it they've got to have one. I never get the reaction out any of my other handguns as I do with that tracker.(ps nobody but me has shot my 85, and it shoots damn good for a 2in barrel.) My brother inlaw has a .40 cal semi auto Taurus and it's a very good shooter also. I don't think you would be disappointed with a Taurus . 0 -
Take a real hard look at the Taurus 605 and 606 .357 snubbies. Top quality, accurate. Recommend. 0 -

I've got a Taurus 608 6.5 inch stainless 8 shot 357. It shoots good and everything seems to work, but it doesn't feel as good as my 357 6 inch S&W model 27. All things being equal I'd rather have my Smith.

Taurus Good.
Friend double-loaded a .357Mag case on my single stage; resulted in blown-up gun. (Model 85/6) Piece of which flew 35' thru a crowd (didn't hit anyone) and embedded itself in the Judge's stand (left half of cylinder). Sent to Taurus with full explanation 22Mar this year. Received new in-the-box 607 14July. Paid $35 shipping/insurance. Happy as hell!
Got a SEVEN-SHOOTER for replacement of gun damaged by idiocy!
I wouldn't recommend everyone try this; the company needs to make some sales to make up for the guns they're giving away to the Pilot's Associations to arm our skies and make us safer.

I seem to recall reading an article a few months back that said Taurus was owned by Smith and Wesson and that the quality is very good; but that they try some of their new ideas out first on the Taurus line. Is this news to anybody? Or is it BS? 0 -
