Mark, make sure that just blocking the mags meets the state requirement. Sometimes they can't be just blocked, they must be incapable of taking more than the set limit of, in this case, 15. I have some of the 5rd and some of the 15rd MAK90 .223 mags available. LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM 0 -
Here is a suggestion. Buy some 5 round magazines and then buy
the little AK magazine followers sold by TAPCO and put them into your 5 round magazine and it instantly becomes a legal 10 round AK magazine.
I did it and they look like 5 rounders but shoot 10 rounds and are very handy to have on hand!0 -
Blocked mags are not legal there. They have to be permanently altered to reduced capacity. It had been widely thought a spacer was acceptable but a clarification came down recently from the NJSP to the contrary. 0 -
thanks for advise. as for the mag forlowers thats a good idea but my mak is .223 and tapco do not cary any followers for .223 mags
thanks Mark.
do you know if any one else carries them0 -
I thought Josey recently posted an article that NJ had a ruling that the "temporary blocks" in high capacity magazines was to remain legal?
I thought the NJ State Police were trying to make the temporary blocks illegal, but their action was challenged by gun rights groups who were successful in getting clarification that temporary blocks were to remain legal?
...or is my memory failing me?0 -
Mark, my best advice is MOVE. Come on down here to the south, more specifically Texas. We will let you put as many rounds in your magazine as you so desire. How about a 100 rd. drum? Load on Sunday and shoot all week. The conservative, gun loving, good ol' boys still run things down here.

TEXAS dam thats another planet ain't it lol...Mark look around on gunbroker and see if anyone will trade you for some thats legal instead of cutting, blocking just get some more if you can...

Thats a good idea to move aut of this F
in state. don't get me wrong i like it but the laws and all other sh--t in here is too much.
i just got roobed and when i pulled my shotgun on this fu--er i could not even harm him in my own house. when the cops came i had to give up my wepon and wait on investication to check if my actions were justified.
i don't know its eather a law in here or just cops don't like me lol.
shutt i got the guy and gues what he got out in a weak. now i got to wait till next week to pick my rifle and make shure everithing is clear. LIke NJ law states NJ firearms owner is considered guilty until proven inicent in the court of Law.
I know that Folks from south would do it the old way kill the sucker or at least hang him.
sorry but i had to get my frustracion out.
Mark
PS i got to talk to guys here to cleas this mag tales. the probles is that everybody sais different thing0 -
NJ is a gun welcome State each little town has their own ordinances that are stricter than State Law.Here in VA.our GOVERNOR Mark Warner signed into law that all State Law Over rules City or County Laws.Sure made a good Decision!
Best!!

Best advice was given above
move out of that communist state.
Go south, I did 2 years ago. No job but me and the wife and two kids moved out of communist Illinois to move to the gun-friendly south.
Taxes are way lower here too. Weather is much better here. I don't feel sorry for those people from liberal gun hating states that value economic security over freedom. I think they should move or they get what they deserve.0
