Shooting Glasses ?
Over at 'General Discussion' a comment was made about using Plastic Glasses instead of Glass (on the thread "I got shot in the face").
I bought a pair of these Bushnell Shooting Glasses on the Internet which are made of Glass. How Safe do you think they are. I really don't won't to get rid of them for no reason, they fit great.

If they have a Z87 OSHA rating they should work good.. but as any other safety tool they can keep you from getting injured bad not complety(sp) keep your eye free from injury...ie: piece of a wire wheel on a grinder hitting plastic glasses and went thru and still went in this guy's eye..Seen safety eyeglasses shatter and go into a guy's eye's ....So just a matter of what can and can not happen ?????????
Hard hats will crush with a 8 pound ball falling from 8 feet but keep the bumps and brusies down lol
I wear Smith & wesson Safety glasses here at work and also buy them for the range (Plastic)

I suggest you call Bushnell and ask them if the glasses are also considered "safety glasses." If not, I would get another pair. In the field or at the shooting range, there are too many things that can go wrong--with your equipment and the equipment of the guy next to you. It is wise to have the best eye protection when participating in the shooting sports.
My humble opinion,

Ruger look on the inside of the frames if they have z87 on them that's the highest osha rating for safety glasses you can get

Ruger makes safety glasses? I wont buy any of
their guns,(burned out 2 barrels in Number 1 rifles in less then
500 rounds--NON magnum calibers)if their glass quality is as
good as their barrel steel I certainly wouldnt trust them with my eyesight.DW0 -
DEANWITTER;
Your eye-sight is already gone. I was talking about Bushnell Glasses, not Rugers.
