Ruger pistol and a shotgun
Hello all, I need information concerning two of my dad's guns. He has a Ruger Single-six with a bone/bone like/maybe ivory handle. Does anyone know about how much those go for? The second is a Revelation 20 ga. shotgun. I have no idea who makes it. That's about all I know about it. Does anyone know anything about these guns? Thanks.

Around here you see the Single Six going for $200 to $250. I bought one for $225 a year ago. That came with a nice holster, but it is a left handed holster so doesn't do me much good. I don't know what the ivory grips would do for the price.

The Revelation brand name was sold through Western Auto. The shotgun was built by someone else, likely Mossburg. You don't say anything about model, condition etc. which are necessary in estimating value (no one can give you more than an estimate with out handling the gun). Store brands are almost always less valuable than the underlying model with the manufacturers name, because there is little collector interest. Likely it is worth $100-$200, but with out much more information it is impossible to do more than guess.
It is unlikely that the pistol has real ivory grips, imitation ivory is much more likely. Real ivory grips would be worth somewhat more than the pistol.

Thanks for the info. I doubt the shotgun is worth much, the stock is perfect; I don't even think there's a ding on it, bluing's good, but the bore is pretty pitted. I had to convince my dad that I had to clean his guns every time they were used, I guess he had never been taught about the negative effects of corrosion. But thanks for the info anyway. I didn't think the handles were ivory, they feel almost like bone.
