have a old 1894 half round half octagon 25-1/4 inch barrel nickel plated receiver metal butt plate 30wcf ser 258172 sent for a letter form cody but didn't say much about it anyone know more about it thanks cdv

  Winchester 1894 - My Grand fathers Winchester 1894 serial #1996XX was sent in to the Winchester company and converted into a 30-30 from a 38-55 several years ago. What would it take to convert it back?

  There is also a set of Ghost Ring sights which are very good and would be a improvement over factory sights.Ghost Ring sights $65.95 item#5031294.Very quick and easy sighting.Just to clarify none of these are my auctions.

  Try Numrich (e-Gunparts.com), 845-679-4867 Customer Service and
  845-679-2417 Orders,
  , they usually have pre-1964 Win. 94 parts. Catalog shows 6.40 for sight elevator and 2.30 each for
  rear sight binding screws (2 required). I would try to keep it
  as original as possible. If Numrich doesn't have the parts, there
  are other sites for obselete parts.
