Colt M1911A1's used by Shanghai Police

Any info on colt M1911A1's that were used by the Shanghai Police. I have seen some with numbers stamped on the barrel, slide, and frame. Any info appreciated.

  Very interesting collectible. In "Shooting To Live", by Captains Fairbairn and Sykes of the Shanghai police force in the 1930's, the department used and preferred the 1911 over other handguns
  for police work. As they described it, there was a lot of violent crime there and they developed effective, close quarter, combat shooting techniques. They also give a score card of good guys vs bad guys. There are also some maintenance tips on magazines and ammo.
  As there was a great deal of shooting, these 45's probably have more extensive combat histories better than the average US Govt 1911.
  Buy the gun or at least the book.

  I need info on M1911A1's post war? not the 1911's pre war? Any help is appreciated.
