I just purchased a new home that has a separate shop. The shop is two story with the first floor a two door garage with an office. The second floor is a large room. I would like to convert one bay to an indoor shooting range for pellet and 22lr pistol.I know I would have to have a bullet trap, ventilation system, sound proofing, etc.Has anyone else done this? Are the any plans or equipment manufacturers for this type of venture.Thanks..

If you're thinking basement range also think ventilation, pulling air away from shooters and exhausting from the target area. Even the lead compounds from primer powered rubber bullets are unhealthy to breathe.

I would imagine whatever you swept from the floor can't be put in the regular trash or down the sewer. It would be too contaminated.

I have a friend who has a public indoor range. He has told me stories of how difficult it is to comply with all the environmental regulations.
