Last round sticking in pump shotgun...
I've got this old winchester 1300 Defender with a full length magazine tube I got used a while back. I took it out and shot it for the first time today, and the last round would always stay in the tube, and I've have to rack the pump extra hard to get it to eject onto the lifter. Do you think that the magazine tube spring is to weak, or should I replace the metal follower or something. The tube isn't dirty or anything, and its well lubed.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

It sounds like the tube spring is too weak, or could even be the wrong one for the long tube. Try stretching it just a little to see if that helps. 0 -
Rather than stretch the spring out, is is possible to fit a spacer either in the tube or behind the follower to decrease the length the spring has to stretch? 0 -
Lee,
Sounds like the mag. was left loaded for too long and the
spring has compressed. Try stretching the mag. spring a little,
not much. Also, I
have found that the mag. tube doesn't need but very little "lube".
When I do a complete teardown cleaning, I just cut a piece of an
old cotton t-shirt, put it on the jag, put a little Birchwood-Casey
Sheath on it and run it through the tube. Oh, if stretching the
spring works, go buy a new one, keep the old one for an emergency
back up.
Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.0
