Walther PPK/S serial range - date of manuf.
I am purchasing a walther ppk/s 380 That is serial #222478S it has the Interarms import but made in Germany. Markings on the bolt are an Eagle with an "N" underneath, also same on the slide. There is also a Staghorn With "HH" on the bolt. Can any of Y'all tell what the date of manufacture is. This is the blue model ppk/s. This is in 98-99% condition, so any ideas as to market price. The paperwork is in proccess and I have to wait 5 days. The ppk/s were only made post war if I'am correct in what I read?

The PPK/S was "invented" as a way of complying with US import restrictions that began in 1968. Walther combined the short PPK slide with the long PP frame.
So, it would have been made between 1969 and around 1986, when US production began.
Market price is whatever you just paid.

Usually PPK/S's made in Germany carry the mfg. date on the barrel located at the ejection port. 0
