I have done this many times in the last 45 yrs with out any problems.I don't see why you should have any.

Just curious here. The powder that has stuck to the wax will not ignite until the Bullet is traveling down the Barrel. Is this not going to effect the bullet twist rate as it is going down through the rifleing and cause Inaccuracy for one. Then after the original Powder burst has occured in the chamber then the powder on the wax ignites is this also going to cause pressure increase and strain,or extra pressures in the Barrel.Im asking this for myself, because if its ok Ive been causing myself unnecessary work.

    Thanks for the info!

I'd think it's safe to say that most of us who have handloaded fair quantities of cast bullets have been through this scenario more than once. I know I have, and have never experienced any problems that could be attributed to a few kernels of powder being stuck in the bullet lube when the rounds were fired.

It's actually not a bad question, and the fact that you'd ask tells me that you're a safety conscious individual, but based on the info you've given us, I can't imagine that you'll have any problems with the ammo due to the small amount of powder flakes sticking in the lube.

Any time you're not sure about any aspect of handloading it's not a bad idea to get advice from an experienced veteran before proceeding.....

    Enjoy!
