Savage .260

Just took in a Savage left handed .260. What is the opinion of the .260- should I add it to personal inventory or put it on the shelf to sell.

  Compares to a 6.6X55 (My favorite Caliber) in a shorter action .I would try it out and keep it if it shoots well .I just had a Savage Left hand 110 CL rebarreled to 6.5X55.Good luck with it.

  I bought a Remington in .260 and can't say enough good things about the caliber. Currently trying to convert everyone I know.

  Excellent all around cartridge for small or medium game. Great deer cartridge. Excellent tartget cartridge. Its basically a .308win case necked down to a 6.5mm bullet. Have almost the exact ballistics of the 6.5x55 swedish mauser cartridge, but will operate in a standart short actioned rifle.
  
  If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

  Yes, I concur with the positive opinions, completely. The .260 Remington is a wonderful rifle and good for so many things. I own a .260 Remington and prefer it over any other rifle. It is my favorite.
