hi-point 9mm carbine...any good?
want a 9mm carbine for home defense and plinking... are the hi-points any good.. are they acurate, do the jam easy, smokestack? ect... thanks

Just got one; fired about 100 rounds thru it with no problems. Was impressed with its accuracy. A blast to shoot. Buy, you'll like it.

I once ask the same question on this forom some time ago.I bought one it has the Beamshot Laser a factory Muzzle Break and a Tactical sling and scope mounts.All for around $250.00,It is backed by an unconditional Lifetime warranty to the original owner.It comes with a single stack 10rd Mag.It has a Rubberis/Polymer stock which makes it ideal for combat.So far I believe I got the best value for the money,on anything Ive ever bought.There great rapid fire shooters.I dont think you would be sorry if you bought one.

while most of the High Point/ Haskell / Stallard pistols that I have seen have been problematic pieces of crap, the one carbine that I have seen has operated without any problems. As noted above, they seem to be fun and reliable shooters. 0 -
I've had mine for almost 5 years and have never had any problems while shooting- the clamshell design of the stock is another matter!
If you have large hands, while attempting to reassemble after cleaning; you may find it hard to align the two halves and keep all the little parts inside from separating from their proper places.
All-in-all, damn fine accuracy, extractor is robust, ejection doesn't ding cases, shoots ANY 9mm ammo, looks cool with black matte Propoint!

Kind of a funny looking, but it shoots quite well. Also so the clips from one of the handguns fits right in.Had a slow moving prarrie dog pose long enough last week to let me end his suffering in the heat.
