Scope Mounts and Loc Tite
Guy at the gun shop and the directions for the mount itself both recommended medium strength Loc Tite on the screw threads. Not the heavy duty stuff you have to blow torch off but it's still a pretty strong adhesive. What if I want to take the mounts off at some point in the future? The package says nothing about loosening the stuff. Anyone know how to get it to give up the grip? I'm reluctant to put it on if it can't beremoved.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Get the Medium strength locktite. Its blue in color. I have to remove the screws also. I have never had a problem removing the screws with this product.

Rameleni 1 Pretty much said it.I believe Loc tite to be very important when mounting something to your firearm.Ive used it for years without any problems.
Best!!

The easy way to loosen the screws is with a small electric soldering iron. Just put the hot tip on the screw heads for about 10 seconds and that will break the seal. It will also work on even red loc tite. 0 -
Thanks, boys. Appreciate it. Good tip with the soldering iron. 0
