Good advice on the 162 grain bullet, but if you must go lighter the Nosler 150gr Partition bullet would be my choice. rg

Thanks!!! I'm getting ready to reload some rounds and was trying to figure out what the cutoff would be and what would be the best. I'll try both of these and see which ones group better. Thanks again.

Have shot three elk with a 7mm caliber. One with a 7 rem mag and
two with a 7 STW. Used 140 grain, and they were very dead.

the partition is a good choice but i would opt for the barnes xlc in 140 or 150 grn. A trick i found to get them to group is seat the .030 back from the lands instead of the factory reccomended .050. The loads I had were for a 7mm-08 ack. imp. with the 140grn. at 3185 fps and a group size of .460 at 100 yds. these loads were HOT and i didnt notice any problems with high pressures from the extended seating depth.

welcome to America...now speak english or get the ****out

I shoot one elk with a 7mm rem mag. using a barnes 140 grain x bullet.
    Worked great at 200 yards.

By the way let us know what you went with & how they grouped for you. I like getting feed back so that I know if others get the same results as me!! rg
