BRNO ARMS Question
I bought a BRNO 22 LR Deluxe for Dealer cost.I was told it was a CZ but most CZ 22s Ive seen were a different model and had CZ wrote on them. This gun has BRNO arms CZECH Republic on it.It is truly one of the most detailed 22 I have. Its got a black walnut stock, and a strait bolt on it.Ive done some research and it appears to be a CZ.I would like to know more about it as it says these were the first sold in the US.mine has a low four digit serial NO.Does anyone know anything about these guns.
Thanks in Advance.

Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ) and BRNO are one and the same. Brno is a tradename used by CZ since about 1922. I am not familiar with your particular rifle, but if CZ made it you can be assured it is of the best quality. 0 -
Thanks for clearing that up at first I concluded it wasnt a CZ then I did more research and said it was.It says these are the first to be sold in the US the only thing I dont like is the strait bolt.
Thanks Again!!

No its a brand new rifle. The Bolt just pushes the cartridge in the chamber and locks, there is no recess for the Bolt to be pushed down per say. Most Bolt guns shoves the cartridge into the chamber then you rotate the bolt down into the recessed area cut in the stock. And you rotate it back up and back to eject the spent cartridge.I hope I have explained it so you know what Im talking about, its just push the Bolt forward and it locks, then pull it strait back to eject.Im not sure but it may be Europeian style,Im not very familiar with their rifles.I love them over and unders though.
Thanks for the help,I still need some though.

It is as it is stated in the listing ,a ZOM451 straight pull rifle. It won't be a big seller as it is poorly designed but the finish on the rifle is top rate. It is a BRNO gun,no connection with CZ whatsoever.I bought one from the original importer in California. Not to shoot but to have as an oddity. They probably won't be around for long. 0 -
Southern Ohio Gun has had these rifles floating around for the past year. I think they have the price down to around $175...maybe even less at this point. Czechmate is quite correct- there is no CZ connection on this rifle, the two firms parted company in the early 1980's. Rugster, what exactly was "dealer cost" if you don't mind telling us?

CZ & BRNO are not one & the same. They have always been separate companys.0 -
I bought a BRNO 22mag take down rifle some time ago. One of the best investments I ever made. This is one very good rifle. 0 -
I paid $125.00 for it I think,a dealer did buy it from (SOG)for me.By the time I paid tax, shipping and registration I have about $135.00 in it.A friend from here gave me a nice scope for it.I will say it is a tac driver.I dont like the looks of the laminate stocks. This one is a very nice detailed black walnut stock.I bought one of the Romanian 22 Training Rifles to.I have to say it was about the best $60.00 Ive spent.
