It's and Interarms Megastar, stainless, .45 ACP, 5 inch brl, NIB with papers. Pre-ban mag. How much is it worth now (new, never shot), and what will it be worth after I've shot it? Thnx.

Just for reference it isn't "Stainless". It is what was referred to as "Starvel"' It is basically a nickel finish. The reason I point this out is that if you advertise it as "Stainless" and someone buys it and finds out it isn't, they'll be upset. This finish was often generically referred to as "Stainless" by the distributors, but Star never made any of their guns in "Stainless".

As for value, they commonly run in the $350-465 range. That model, as previously mentioned, was for many, too big and too heavy. Built like a tank yes, but big. It didn't fit a lot of people's hands, Their mags are hard to find and expensive when you do. This also detracts from the value. They are well built guns, but this particular model never really caught on. They were only imported for a few years, right before the 1994 ban.
