Sold a customer a new Model 7 Youth in 223 in February, today he brought it back and I gave him a full refund. The rifle has been back to Remington twice and is scheduled for another vacation this week. Same problem. Will not feed from the right hand side of the magazine. I will let you know what they finally do. The cartridges will not ramp forward evenly, the cartridges angle up into the top left of the action striking the top of the barrel above the chamber. The only ammo that will feed is Remington 50 grain green tip boat tail. One way to promote the sale of their own ammo I guess.

In my opinion, Remington has been turning out some real crap the last couple of years. I think it is a lack of quality control, and trying to rush production. I have had to send three 700's from the Custom Shop back for repairs, and one of them came back so rusted, I sent it back and demanded a new blue job. Boy, was that a hazzle. Another custom shop 7STW had no extractor, when shipped, and it was rusted also. I feel that when you pay that kind of money for a gun it should be right the first time. Are you aware that the Remington factory does no repairs any more? They farm them out to authorized repair centers. Remington has and does make some great guns, but they can be a pain when trying to get repairs done.
