I have used 32 S&W. If you reload, I make ammo buy using 32 H&R magnum brass with 110 gr fmj 30 carbine bullets. I use 32-20 dies and seat the bullet to the end of the cylinder. Some guns will accept 32-20 brass, but on my 2 guns the rims are too thick. You can buy Fiocchi 7.62 Nagant ammo, but it is fairly expensive.

Also of interest, several sources sell replacement cylinders which use .32 ACP. The one in my possession was made in S.Korea and seems to be of good quality.

This site takes a while to load (it should be broken into a few pages); but scroll down a bit to the "ammuntion" part.

Someone had posted the link before and I bookmarked it. Thanks to whomever it was that gave the link earlier. It's got great info.

My understanding is that Fiocci has not imported any of the true gas-seal nagant rounds recently, keep asking for it and maybe they'll get the idea that there is demand out there.

I've been "kicking myself" for not buying a case of the Fiocci when I could have gotten it for under $22 a box including the shipping!

Atleast I've got a 32 acp cylinder, but it's not as "fun" as knowing I'm shooting with the gas seal--the gun stays wonderfully clean with the gas seal ammo.

HI Again, could you tell me who is carrying these 32 cyl's now? I saw them only once at century arms but of course they were sold out. Any body have a web site for a dealer for them? Thanks for the reply.

I may have mis-spoken here. I got mine about 18 mo. ago, and it was from Century. After that I had no reason to stay current on their availabilty. I did, at that time, see them for sale by several vendors. Probably Century was the source for all of the vendors, and if they don't have one your best bet will be to call around to places like CDNN and TAPCO until you find someone that has one left on the shelf. I'll keep my ear to the ground for you. You might try the Gun Parts Corp. also.

The 32 acp cylinders are listed here:

    http://www.surplusfirearms.com/m1895.htm

His ammo is "out-of-stock"; you'll have to call or email to see if he has any cylinders.

I got mine with the revolver (Century arms).

You may want to post on the WTB board; if you haven't already.

I saw one in an FAC flyer a while back.

Somtimes if your lucky and look hard enough you can get surplus ammo for that gun, modern is hard to come by. You just gotta look around. You might try jgsales.com . JG is a top rate company and that is were I get most of my Nagant ammo. Just go to the online store the rest is pretty self-explanatory, if you can't figure it out you don't deserve a NAGANT!(Not meant to be taken seriously)

Have you fired the Nagant yet? I find it easier to pull start my lawn mower than the double action pull on the Nagant. Single action isn't much better.

These things make a nice paperweight.

You might want to just kick the rest in the head and get into reloading. Even if you don't reload, you can get a Lee hand press and set of Nagant dies for less than $40, brass and bullets for perhaps another $20, powder and primers for another $30 and that's all you REALLY need... total is $90 and for that you could buy 9 boxes of .32 S&W ammo (maybe) and then you would start to save. In the long run it is really worth it.

I have also fired the .32 S&W long from the stock Nagant cylinder with no trouble, but it worries me as the rim isn't as big as the original and the neck really opens up. 32/20 is a better bet but most brands of this brass have too thick a rim; starline works for me about 9 times out of ten but a few I had to file down the head a bit.

There must be a buttload of this stuff sitting on the shelf in Russia yet and I wish someone would bring it over.
