Need info on Smoker No. 1 Revolver

We have an antique revolver that is marked Smoker No.1.Anyone know who made it and when?

Your gun was probably made by Johnson Bye + Company. Between 1875 + 1884. My book says that the #1 was a 22 short R.F. 7 shot with a sur trigger.
