Ballpark value Ithaca Riot gun model 37

A friend of mine has an Ithaca Model 37 riot gun and would like an approximate price. Its got a 20 inch barrel and extended magazine and is parkerized. Printed on the gun is D.S. police special, Model 37 featherweight 12 ga. s/n 3718790xx Also says roto-forged barrel. Thanks

  Steve-you didn't give us a condition. The DS Police Special is shown as $325 in 100%, $275 in 98%, $235 in 95%, $200 in 90% on down to $160 in 60%.

  Steve,
  Does your friend's Model 37 have the grip cap with a silver deer (buck) head in a field of red cloisonne/plastic?
  Also does his have "above" average wood in the stock and forearm?
  I have one with both these features, in about 99%+.
  Mine has standard magazine tube and high gloss blued metal w/ducks lifting from water scene engraved in receiver.
  I sure wouldn't take for mine, what the blue book says they're worth.
  Unique weapon and everyonce and a while I use mine to "dispatch" a coon, skunk or other varmint that may venture to close to the house.
  Have it handy, for "whatever" varmint would threaten me or mine.

  Spring Creek, no this is a plain almost military looking shotgun. Its in new condition, no box or papers. Thanks to you and Der Gebirgsjager for your help.

  My neighbor sells all kind of Ithacas,he ask $300.00 for the police models.And he sells quit a few,The slug guns and the Police guns bring the most.
