Ithaca
Did Ithaca make a 12 with a 20" smooth bore barrel with iron sights and a 3" chamber.
I know they made them with a 2 3/4 chamber. I thought all the 3" were rifled barrels.
I don't believe they did but I see one for sale in a local add.
Thanks
Mark

Look up Ithacagun on the web. Put in the serial# and they will tell you D.O.M.

Check if it's an older one that needs barrel fitting at the factory.
There are gunsmiths that specialize in installing thin wall threaded choke tubes in thin wall or cut off shotgun barrels. They can also install a front sight. The Ithaca style front bead with plastic insert shows up good under dim conditions.
If you end up going for a new barrel go for the ventilated rib.
These are great shooting guns.0 -
Probably was cut. Take it to a gunsmith and ask him to check it with a choke guage. He shouldn't charge you much, if at all.
