I own a Baikal IZH 27 o/u in 12ga. I am truly impressed with this gun. I have shot pheasants, dove and an occassional paper target. I believe the barrels are chome lined as they are on my gun.
I spoke with a representitive from the manf.(EAA) and he informed me that I should not shoot steel shot without a steel shot tube. I also spoke with the gunsmith who sold it to me and he indicated that I could shot steel and that he shoots it in his. Go figure.
The gun in my opinion is a great gun with all the necessities and not the price.

I agree with Pems. I have a Baikal 20 ga O/U; all the bells and whistles at a low price. I like it a lot. You might check website eaacorp.com here is US and baikal.com in Russia.

I bought one of their sidexside 12GA shotguns. It came with three Modified chokes.I cant say nothing but good stuff about it.But I would not shoot steel in it.

    Best!!

Have sold a few and the only complant has been that they are too tight when new, it takes about 200 rounds to loosen them up a little. I did hear about one that fired both barrels but I don't know first hand.

I bought a Baikal 12ga.o\u .After a few rounds it fired both barrels at once.My dealer sent it back to them in Florida. They returned it in ten days, repaired under warranty.I've had no problems since and shoot about 200 shells a week. For the money they're hard to beat. And Carlsons choke tubes fit them.
