need help with Remington Smoot

Can someone tell me how to tell the difference between a Model 1 and Model 2 Remington Smoot Patent Revolver?Also,it is my understanding that the Smoot revolver came with a nickle finish.Is that true?Thanks for any help!

  Smoots came in both blue and nickel. Blue is rarer and commands 50% premium. The number 2 is in 32 cal only (#1-30cal,#2-32cal,#3-38cal,#4-38 or 41 cal).
  If it has a revolving recoil shield it's worth 300%

  Fjestad's book on gun values says that the model 2 Smoot was made in both the 30 and 32 caliber RF.Can anyone clarify for me?
