I sold a S & W model 27-2 in 3 1/2" barrel. Can I just send this to an FFL, or do I have to do a private party transfer on it. Both I an dht ebuyer live in Ca. Thank you

  Its also a very reliable,accurate gun.I carry the 9mm DAO version on Duty as a backup.I cant even tell its there but I feel secure knowing it is if my Duty weapon fails.
