Rem 700 stock clip modification...
I have an older 700 Rem ADL, which I converted to the after the market "quick-clip". It works ok, but now I see the Remington has come out with a detachable clip on there newer 700's. My question is this, does anybody have any experience getting the parts from Remington and making this modification? I've heard thru the "grapevine" Remington doesn't like to do this type of thing. Anybody have any knowledge? THX! ...Mark

I don't know how remington sells factory parts but you might have to go through a factory repair shop to get those parts. Very likely you would need to modify the inletting of the floorplate.

I beleive there was a company that made an after market c0nversion, but I'll be damned if I can think of it. Try calling Remington and see if you can't buy the parts from them.
Their # should be 1-800-243-9700

Got my parts off Ebay a little notching and sanding seems to work fine and looks good. One guy on there has them every once in awhile brand new. 0 -
Here's the link to the person that sells the parts you need, He does not have anything listed right now, You can save this link and keep checking it or just email him and see if he has the parts, Likely he does.

This guy is a nice person to deal with.
Good luck
