How well does the swift scirocco perform?
I have heard and read that these bullets have a BC that is amazing. I read an article which stated they produced a trajectory which defies all other bullets of the same caliber/weight, even the nosler balitic tip. Anyone shot these yet? how do they stack up at distance as far as groups, trajectory, and harvesting performance?

They are a great hunting bullet, IF YOUR RIFLE WILL SHOOT THEM IN TO A GOOD GROUP, Only problem they are very expensive to shoot at paper. Good luck. 0 -

VH, how they look on paper? I suppose you are pushing them out of that Sendero. If I am pushing them out of a 7mm mag Sendero, I should get similar results with the correct powder. I am considering getting them and working up a load to try on the crop damage permits. We have had no rain for months, so the beans stayed slow growing, but now, we have had 3 days of rain. I am sure the fields will grow 6 inches this week, I had better get loading before I have to try head shots at 300+ yds.
Chuck, you have bad luck with them? They didn't group well in your rifle, I take it from your post?

I "work" as a range master at a city shooting range here in N. Idaho - and I've heard a LOT of people complain that those bullets don't shoot good in their guns. Last week there was a discussion with 4 of the shooters who were complaining they couldn't get them shoot. They sure are a nice looking bullet. 0 -
Rick. The seating depth is very critical with these bullets..I set mine at the lands, And then went deeper in.005" increments. The one set back .005" shot great, The ones at .010" weren't bad, at.015" were worse than factory. This was in a .300win mag.

If high ballistic coefficients are what your looking for theres a company called Lost River Ballistic Technologies Bullets. BC on their 30 caliber 165 gr. bullet = .636, 180 gr.= .672 The 7mm has the highest at .715 in 160 gr. They are very expensive, for 30 caliber about $1.90 EACH. 0 -

If you go to www.lostriverballistic.com they have a ballisticator program thats very interesting. You can plug in your favorite bullets ballistic coefficients and it draws a trajectory for you. You can then match it against their very high B.C. bullets trajectory. What amazed me is how little high B.C. matters out to 500 yds. My favorite .270 bullet has a B.C. of .450, theirs has a B.C. of .649, this results in a TWO INCH difference at 500 yds. I would have thought it would be a lot more. 0
