Savage 110 accuracy? good or not?
Was wondering about this gun and it's accuracy. Is it worth the money or should i save up more cash to buy a 10FP or a Tikka. It would be used mainly for hunting but i'd like a gun i could take to the range and shoot at least 2inch groups @100yds.Any info would be appriciated.

Savage makes an extremely good rifle, especially for the money. You should have no problems with it doing what you want. If you are going to put a scope on it don't skimp on the optics. Poor optics will make a good rifle unsatisfactory IMHO.

The trigger on mine is a little rough. I think with a little trigger work mine will group very nice. However it will easily shoot 2 inch groups as is. I think they are a good buy. 0 -
these are very good rifles for the money, a good gunsmith should be able to tune up the trigger for hunting for about $30/40. or you can buy an after market trigger for it. 0 -
Hey guys, thanks for all the info i think i'll go for the 110 it seems a very good buy. Would any of you happpen to know what the pull weight on the factory trigger is? 0 -
I have a 112 BVSS that shot sub 1/2 MOA out of the box. The factory trigger was set at about 9 lbs and was not realy bad, just heavy. I have installed an after market trigger but I have not been back to the range to see if it helped. Savage makes a very good and accurate product for the money. If you mount a scope, as punchie said, don't skimp on the optics.
