.357 Sig barrel for HK USP 40 Compact
Can the H&K USP .40 Compact take a .357 Sig barrel like some of the Sigs and Glocks? Thanks.

I beleive you can buy a .357SIG barrel for a HK compact and use the same mag as .40s&w did you try the HK website? If HK doesnt have one you should definately be able to find one from a aftermarket barrel supplier but I dont see why HK wouldnt offer one hell I got one for my Kel-Tec P-40 before I traded it and Kel-Tec is no where near HK good.Best of Luck.

Bar Sto makes 'em; http://www.barsto.com/HK.html Not cheap, but very worthwhile; I have one of the full-length drop-ins for my USP & point of impact hardly changes an inch at 50 feet. Same magazines work for 357 SIG as for 40S&W. If you reload 357SIG, be aware of the particulars that can affect safety with loads made up with non-357SIG-specific bullets. 0 -
It would probably have to be an after market barrel,I dont think HK makes a .357sig.If they do someone please correct me,I try to stay up with the HK.
Best!!

According to my 2002 buyers guide the HK USP compact is offered in .357SIG,.45acp,9mm and .40s&w

HK offers the USP Compact in 9mm, 40S&W, & 45 ACP though they also mention that it's "capable" of firing the 357SIG on their product website page (http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/pages/civilian/uspCframeset.html). You may very well be able to buy a conversion barrel from them, just like you can from SIG (I bought one for my 2340; about the same price as the Bar Sto for my USP). Try calling their US office at (703) 450-1900. Let us know what you learn from them. 0 -
Thanks. It would seem to make sense to be able to drop in a .357 barrel in a USPC .40. I've got an email in to Bar-Sto and a phone call into H&K. I'll post anything I find out.

I just talked to Bob at H&K and he said you CAN put a .357 Sig barrel in a USP .40 Compact. I guess I could have done that in the first place, but a little open discussion is always good. Thanks to all for your input.
