Astra A-80

I have an Astra A-80 which I believe is a copy of a Sig P226.
However, the take down lever is on the right side instead of the left side as on the Sig.
I had been thinking about buying a laser grip for the Astra A-80 thinking the Sig P226 grip might work. I am asking as to whether the take down lever switch from side to side may be a problem.
    Any ideas?

I would think they would be interchangeable I just read on the modern guns web page the only difference between the A-80,A-90 and A-100 are safety features so Im sure they should be the same mag.

Not sure about the 80. Been using A100 mags in my 45 acp A90 without a hitch. My problem is I can't find any original grips for the A90.

I have the same problem as you. Some time back while visiting a local "Home for Wayward and Abused Firearms" this A90 pleaded with me for refief. Being the civic minded person that I am, I offered words of encouragement and the thought to 'hang tough, it will get better'. Well, it broke out, tracked me down and I haven't been able to get it out of the house yet.

Thanks for the info, Eric. Punchie, you're my kind of guy. Wouldn't be interested in adopting a couple of Dachshunds, would you? (Just kidding--couldn't part with them!)

The A-80 will take the A-90 and A-100 mags. You can't use the earlier A-80 mags in the 90 or 100 however. The A-80 is a bottom mag release as where the 90 and 100 are behind the trigger. If you can't find them else where, I do have some available. LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM
