Numrich Gun Parts Corp., 845-679-2417, www.e-GunParts.com, has parts
for the High Standard A-1041. There is a diagram in their catalog also.

Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.

Sears and other Store brands are essentially not sought by collectors, thus there is no collector value to speak of for your rifle. The store models almost always sell for less than the undederlying model with the manufacturers name. Thus value of your rifle is as a shooter. Likely under $100 for the rifle, the scope might add $25-$30 more to the right buyer.

Hedog) Is right but I have two Sears 22s both semi autos there good guns. One of mine I cant identify, but it has an aluminum reciever painted factory black with the rest blued. It says it will shoot shorts, longs and long rifle.Ive never tried the shorts,it doesnt seem logical that a semi-auto would shoot shorts.

    Best!!

Rugster, I was not implying that it was not a fine rifle, only that the value was as a shooter. That means it is not highly sought by collectors and worth thousands. I too have a J.C. Higgins model 30 (also a High Standard) that shoots shorts, long and long rifle. I have not shot anything but long rifle for years, but in my youth tried the shots. The semi-auto will handle them, with a tendency to hang every eight or tenth in the action, likely because of low pressure to operate the action. Nothing serious, but the action tends to close before the spent cartridge is clear. Sears did a good job and usually offered quality guns at pretty affordable prices. Use it, enjoy it, it is likely a great little rifle!

The High Standard 1041A must be the Sport King which was made from 1960 to 1966.
