Picatinny or Weaver
Can anyone tell me what the difference between the picatinny rail and the weaver rail is? I was viewing the mounts for the aimpoint sights on swfa.com and they have both picatinny and weaver rail grabbers. What rail is on the ar15/ar10t flattop? Thank you, Rayzor25

Picatinny(military) evolved from the Weaver design.
The 'Pic' is solid, where the Weaver is hollowed out.
" " has many more cross slots compared to the Weaver.
" " is usually made from steel. Weaver is usually alumunum.
" " " a utility look. Won't use on a deluxe wood custom rifle.
AR's are 'Pics'.
