You will not be sorry you bought a Glock,
you probably would be sorry you bought a
Witness. Had a compact witness in .45, it
jammed a lot. Factory rework lasted about
    2 mags worth.....sold it.
    IMHO

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them.

Its really hard to beat the Glock,it may be a little more expensive, but I dont believe you can wear the darn things out if maintenanced correctly.I believe it to be one of the few compacts that stands up to the recoil of the 10mm.

    Best!!

Go with the Glock 29. $425.00 is a very fair price. You are really sold on that 10mm, aren't you?

I have never shot the Witness compact but I have shot the full size .45. If that is any indication what they are about, get one.Glock makes an excellent 9mm, but I would hesitate to buy a Glock in any other caliber. We just had another Glock blow up at the range the other day and that was the third one this year. They are not built to withstand hotter calibers over a long period of time. (40,45,10mm). The metal reinforcements inside the gun can only be expected to do so much and eventually something has to give. Hope this helps. If you want a good 10mm save your money and buy a Colt Delta Elite. Then you will have a 10mm that you can shoot and will go up in value.

    I am with Roy
The Witness costs less and is based on the CZ.
    I have a 45 and a 10mm,never a fault or FTF in either.

I would have to strongly disagree with those who say the Glock will not hold up to the hotter calibers. I have carried both the G-20 and G-29 for many years, and have put thousands of rounds through them, mainly Cor-Bon 135's and have never had a prob. I am not alone either. I know many people, both personally and on the web who use and carry the 10mm in various platforms, and it is almost universally agreed upon that the Glock is the most reliable, accurate, and user friendly 10mm platform out there. Go for the gusto and get the 10, if you get the g-29 and it isn't what you expected, you won't have any trouble breaking even when you go to sell it.

Get the Glock, you won't regret it, and you'll probably want another one.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
