movie gun? need info

I have a old 1873 colt peace maker (I think) replica gun. I can send pic's to your e-mail if anyone can help me ID this thing. It has the correct size and weight as a real one but the gap between the cylinder and the barrel is about 1/2 inch. the grips are wood and have the bird head type cut. Any help would be helpful THANKS MUCH!
