HK manafacturing date

I recently bought a used HK USP40 and was wondering about manafacturing date. Serial # is 22-35xxx. Initial of KE is also on pistol. Another forum said made in 1994 but I think this is incorrect. Anybody help me out on this? I may have to call HK to find out but I have little time during day hours and prefer not be left on hold while paying long distance.(yeah I know I'm cheap) Besides I know one of the experts can help me out here.   It's as follows.
  
  Letters A-K, J is skipped. A=0,B=1,C=2...K=9, etc.
  
  IG=86 or 1986
  ID=83 or 1983
  KA=90 or 1990
  
  So your date code of KE is 94 ...
  
  My SR9T is coded KD which makes it a '93, I also have the HK Tactical, HK SL8 and USC, all bought in 1999 and the codes are "KK" on all 3!
