I am contemplating a 1911 style pistol to purchase. i have read a little on the subject and am very curious about the Charles Daly pistols. They seem to be a high Quality firearm but are not as expensive as other 1911s with the same features. Is it an inferior product, or an inexpensive one.
Yeah I can make it....0 -
I have heard alot of positive information about the Charles Daily. For the money Id say go for it,KBI Industries Import the guns and they stand behind them.Ive shot one and was Impressed with it.And most I have seen are quite attractive guns.Hope this helps!!
Best!!

Excellent firearm for the bucks.
Get a couple of Wilson combat mags and you
will be set for a long time.

I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to show up.0 -
Have you considered a Ruger P series? I bought a KP-90D and like it a lot. No problems so far. Great, accurate reasonably priced pistol. Just a thought. LOL

I wouldn't call them High Quality. But they shoot reliably. I temporaraly had custody of a friends who was going thru a divorce, told me I could shoot it all I wanted along with the other guns he dropped off at my house. I can say that using 230fmj I don't recall having any malfunctions. And it had alot of bells and whistles for the price. But when you take the gun apart and look close up, things aren't all fited to tight and there's alot of rough spots where corners were obviously cut. As far as I know the frame and slides on the pistols were made using older equiptment, not current CNC, so I could understand where quality fit and finish would lack a little. But for the buy its one heck of a pistol. You deffinately get your money's worth if not more. I would probably buy one of these over say a Norinco or other entry level type 1911. If its all I could afford, and my life depended on it everyday, I wouldn't carry one, I'd probably get a Ruger instead, but thats just my personal preference.
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

What other 1911s does anyone recommend, price isin't everything and i want to get a solid reliable caryy gun. I have been only a Glock Shooter for as long as I have owned and have recently been sold on the 1911 style, for carry and recreation. Thanks
