Go with the Rmington 700 and the L1A1 especially.I would steer clear of that Colt 2000 I have never seen one good thing about them only they have faied repeatedly.

Also on the L1A1 .308 FAL. Will it accept standars FAL mags? Also this seller is a good ways away, about an hour and a half or better, so This will be a one trip deal and have to be worth the trip.

MR WILLIAMS, THE SKB WAS MADE IN JAPAN. A SEMI-AUTO. VERY NICE GUN. THE 2000 COLT AT THAT PRICE IS A BUY. ALSO THE 700. GOOD LUCK.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

    LINKTOSHOOT,

You say in your reply: Depends on the maker, concerning the L1A1. Which makers are good and which should I stay away from? I see see Century Arms come up a lot.

The Colt 2000 is a good example of the failure of Colt management to properly read the market and make good decisions. Someday, the 2000 will be a good collectable, but it does not compete well with more conventional pistols. I do not like the trigger, but it is not a bad gun with which to plink just for fun. It points very well, but I would not carry it for defense. I see people asking from $200 to $600 for them. They are probably $200 to $300 guns, of interest mostly to Colt collectors.
