Predocessor to the Model 141 and then the Model 760, 7600 I believe. Sister gun to the Model 8 that became the Model 81 and then the Model 740, 742 and 7400. Remington made them along with 3 new cartridges, the 25 Rem, 30 Rem and 35 Rem to compete with the Winchester cartridges. Only the 30 and 35 Rem still have ammo available at my local stores. Believe the the Mod 14 came along about 1908 or so.

The model 14 was patented in November of 1912. It was offered in 4 versions A,B,C,D A being the standard and D being the deluxe. Not long after the model 14 1/2 that had a magazine that extended all the way to the end of the barrel. Factory ammo for the 30 and the 25 are hard to come by but the 35 is still produced. I have a model 14A in .30 remington that belonged to my neighbor and he willed it to me when he passed away. I doubt you could stuff all the deer into a Burger King that that gun has killed. If you get the chance take it out and use it, I have experienced many times of what it was like to kill a deer in 1912. 0 -
The model 14 also came in 32 Remington caliber. The Model 14R was a carbine version with a straight grip stock; the 14 was pistol gripped. The Model 14&1/2 came in a rifle and a carbine version in calibers 38-40 and 44-40. The Model 14 was made from 1912 to 1935 and was replaced by the Model 141 in 1936. 0 -
