Mod. 788 44 mag. ?

What would be the value of Rem. Mod 788 44 Mag ? 22 in. barrel 99%+ blue , Stock has a few minor marks .
Have had it for about 20 years never fired it . I belive it has a very few rounds through it . Thanks

  I have seen them advertised as high as $700.00 .Don't know if they ever get that much but, it's worth a try.

  Start the bidding at the lowest price you will accept, and let it go from there. Contrary to what "ATF" has stated, if you get anywhere near $700 for it, it will come as a suprize to me.
  
  One: I can't figure out why you have not fired it, even at paper. It is one of the best costal marsh hog guns ever made. Since you are "mulletgutter53", I figure you must be someone on the coast, hopefully the Gulf of Mexico.
  
  Two: With the proper hand load - bullets cast from the correct alloy, properly lubed and gas-checked, using WW-296 ---- NO!! I won't tell you how much ---- (you will stick it in a handgun and destroy it) they can be run over 1700 feet a second in a barrel that has been properly seasoned with "Ed's Red" without leading.
  
  They will do a job on costal marsh hogs out to 70 meters with no sweat.
  
  So if you do not want to keep it ---- please put it up on auction on this site with an opening bid that is the least you will accept. If you start it toooooooooo high, you will find out as there will be NO bids on it.
  
  Also, PLEEEEEEEEEASE let me know what the auction number is using the e-mail icon at the top of my post. I would like to bid on it if it is anywhere within my means as a classroom teacher.
