Mystery .223 AK???
Hello!
I recently purchased a 5.56x45 AK and am not sure exactly what it is. The rifle has a stamped steel Hesse Arms receiver but it is NOT an M47 rifle. The AK has a 16.5 inch barrel and looks almost identical to the Bulgarian SAM7 rifle with the only exception being that my rifle has an AK74 style muzzle break and the stamped receiver. The rifle looks new and accepts hi-cap .223 mags. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Mike

Could it possibly be a part kit put together on a Hesse reciever?
If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Thanks for the input!
That is my guess as well. Any idea what company is using the Hesse receivers with Bulgarian 5.56x45mm parts kits??
Thanks again!

I'll flip thru some surplus and wholesale catalogs for ya, and see if I can come up with anything.

I checked some stuff out, and found Hesse Arms website. Are you sure its not an M47, there is apparently several different variations of the M47. Check it out. www.hessearms.com
