Holster for Springfield XD??

I think I have decided to purchasae a Springfield Armory XD9101, a 9MM.

Does anyone know if a Fobus paddle holster for a Sig 226 fits this pistol?

Am I on the right track for a good daily carry piece in the $4-500. range or would I be better off saving for something better and just use my Ruger KP89?

Any advice/help would be appreciated

  was scanning some old posts on the xd subject as i just bought one and thought to tell you if you dont already know or if you even still care but springfield puts out a holster for it with a accessory rail like on the pistol. made by fobus i believe.

  The Fobus holsters are pretty specific to what they fit. The one for the Sig WILL NOT fit the XD series. Since they are form fitted they will only fit a gun of the same design. I have Fobus right hand roto paddle holsters for the XD series available new in the wrap for $22.00 available. It would be best to go with the holster that was made for the gun.
