I must've looked through most of the gunauction sites for the past 3-4 years. In that time I saw two of them for sale here. The one that sold went for 800 or a grand. Then Phil had one listed for sale here long while (like a year+) for $4200 (nice piece with all the paper work and a box, never shot outside of the factory) I've been saving up for it but on ***********.co had one pop up for $1,450. Since it was listed for a month and change I e-mailed to make sure they still had her and it was to be for I am the new owner.
I can attest to 2 being in the states are the Sommer + Ockenfuss Marksman. One that I have (which could be the same one that sold here for 800 or a grand) and the one Phil has for $4200. If you're still looking for one I have the seller info since he stoped listing about a year ago. And if you have info it'll be nice to share since I seem to be the only one here with the S+O.0 -
Those were some very interesting rifles. I knew a guy who had one, but I never had the chance to shoot it. I believe the company went out of business in 2002. There are some links about the S&O rifles, if you need parts or service, but they're all in German. From what I understand, there are people in the office who speak English if you want to call on their phone number. Email me if you need the link. 0 -
I've emailed them but they were just bounced back as unsendable so I figured it's a dead link. I haven't called them since e-mails didn't go through. I suppose there weren't that many (rifles) to begin with so extra really doesn't exsist? I'll do some posts after I take her out and break in the barrel. This should be fun I get to see quality German engineering out of the box. 0
