It is very hard to put a price on these guns without having a very knowledgable person give it a complete going over as every marking has the posibility to raise the value of the gun by hundreds of dollars. The price range starts around 2000 and goes up to around 20,000 an an untrained eye could hardly tell them appart

Are you talking about original Full Auto Thompson or the later Semi Aoto Ordnance clone?

I would expect it to sell in the neighborhood of $5,000.

Cheapest one I've seen was at the last Gun Show here. It was priced at $12,500,00, but there was a better one there for only $16,500.00! The more expensive one looked like the same condition as the other, but I am not an expert on these. Any of the Full Autos of almost any model gun are much, much higher priced than their semi-auto "look-a-likes!"

Go to the Thompson website forums at

    http://www.machinegunbooks.com/cgibin/ikonboard/forums.cgi?forum=1

There are lots of interesting things there, and you can see some discussions of value.

It is a FA AO Thompson.
Looks like the bottom is $4800 and goes up.
You need advice from the 2 FA Boards, not here.

Thank you all for your response. I am now well on my way to becoming
well versed on the 1928 A1. The link was especially helpful.

    Glad I found this board.
