They are very well made, accurate rifles. They also come thru with very nice walnut stocks. A shooting buddy has one and he loves it. I shot it and really liked the way it handled.

They deserve the same respect as the encore series. They are really a good gun.
Good luck.

I bought one in December and have been pleased, with good ammo it will shoot 1/2" groups at 50 yards. Magazines have been hard to get. The 5 round mags are available at the moment from Cheaper than Dirt. I contacted Thompson Center and was told that the 10 round mags will not be available till sometime this summer. 0 -
That's what they said LAST year, Pearyw. I bought one in late spring, 2001. I like it a lot - on a good day (not too much coffee) & with a particular preference for ammunition it'll shoot 1" groups at 100 yards off a benchrest. I put a 24x 'scope on mine for some informal club competitions & didn't embarass myself with it. It's well-made, the stock is beautifully finished, and I'd like a 10-round mag or two as well but they're just not here... yet. Compared to some semi-auto 22's it's a bit tricky to remove the bolt, if you're inclined to do a thorough cleaning, but can be done quickly with some practice. 0 -
Thanks to all of you for the info.
