Mini 14 issue
A while back someone brought up the issue that Ruger has made there new Mini 14's so that hi-cap mags will not fit in them. Was it ever resolved as to the validity of this? I know Ruger was giving different answers to the folks inquiring. I am possibly getting one in a couple of months and I definately want to be able to use hi-caps in it. Would my best bet be to buy a hi-cap and make sure it fits in the gun I intend to buy?

Yup, total BS. I've seen three or four brand spanking new ones, and they all took high caps. For some reason some dealers love to make up rumors like that, maybe cause the markup on stuff is so low.

I remember that silly statement that the poster swore was true. I wonder what ever happened to that poor misguided soul? 0 -
Yep, false until I see it with my own eyes, or when Judge says it's true. GD 0 -
I don't know, I do remember the post though. I think what happened was the magazine being used was probably of poor quality and swolen at the top. A logical explination of why it wouldn't fit.

I bought a Mini-14 a couple years ago, and a buddy of mine bought a new one a couple weeks ago. Same rifle, same mags, no changes. 0
