CZ27
I just ran across a "like-new" CZ-27 pistol. I know it was built at the Strakonice plant between 1945 & 1950. Can anyone tell me what it's worth? The only other one I ever saw at a gun show was in lousy condition so I couldn't make any price comparison.
Anyone have a clue?
Thanks!
Steve

Hi all,
I have a mint condition cz27, ser. # 22xxxx, dull blued, marked on the top; BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G.IN PRAG. It also has the top of the slide ground and polished, with the following stamped in:
POLITI Nr. 3274. That number is also listed on the frame. Any idea of the year, or value?
Got this from a WWII vets widow, and is like new in the box, never fired. Any info would be GREAT !!
Thanks

Steve Sarich,
Welcome!
Not familiar with a CZ 27.
This information is straight out of "Blue Book of Gun Values", for what it's worth.
They list two models of CZ 27
"CESKA" - slanted slide grooves
100% $550
98% 450
95% 350
90% 300
80% 250
70% 200
60% 150
"BOHMISCHE" - vertical slide grooves
100% $265
98% 225
95% 185
90% 150
80% 135
70% 120
60% 110
Hope this helps, again welcome to the forum.

Thanks a lot for the reply...and the welcome. It looks like the Blue Book is not completely accurate. The Ceska model also has vertical grooves in the slide. I've never heard of the other model. Does it list where the other one was made?
Thanks!

Steve,
Does not really say, but it does state, " Models listed below were made in Ceska Zbrojovka Strakonice, with the exception of some models manufactured in Ceska Zbrojovka Prague during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovkia".
For the BOHMISCHE model it states Nazi Police pistols dated 1941,42 or 1943 marked with Eagle/K on left trigger guard web, ser. no. 21,500-261,000.

Steve, Welcome aboard.
You can go to Google search and type in "CZ 27 Pistol".
You will come up with many sites about your pistol. It will be easier doing that, then trying to tell you the history of that particular model.
I just purchased one myself, an early one with a 5 digit ser.# and Nazi proofed. They are a damn good gun. Mine was made under German occupation, and I believe for the Nazi Ploice.0 -
Back in 1950 my dad swapped a carton of cigarettes for one, it has the nazi proofs on it. We use to shoot it quite a bit, very accurate and reliable with ball ammo. Does anyone know a source for grips? I use to see some at gunshows but its been awhile.

NOTPOSTAL,
You might want to call Jim at 386-736-1044. Jim sits on an inventory of over 10,000 pairs of grips, will probably be able to help you. In ths past I've personally conducted busy with him several times and have always found him helpful, good quality, and at a fair price.
Jim is currently recovering from surgery and would greatly appreciate the business. Tell him hi for me.
Thanks,
Rick Douglas (airborne)
