I just bought a mauser 300 win mag and I am thinking of putting a
double trigger set up on it I saw one in brownells catalog and
talked to a couple of gunsmiths I know and they told me it is a
real bear to put a double set on a mauser to stay with a timmney or
the trigger on the gun anyone out there put double sets on and how much or is the advice I am getting best

nothing is impossible if you have the $$$. putting double set triggers on a mauser isn't that bad but will cost you about $50/$100 plus the trigger assmembly.

I installed the unit Brownells sells in one of My rifles, it was not a drop-in but the only power tool I needed was a drill press, to drill and tap the trigger guard, the instructions that came with the kit were very clear and easy to follow, there was a bit of effort involved in opening up the trigger guard with some files, but that was the most difficult part, and I assure You, I am not a gunsmith, just like to tinker with my toys. I had more sweat and cursing invested in the inletting of the wood than in installing the double trigger kit.
