Remington 1100 20 ga
My newest, can't live without, purchase is a used 1100. Ser number is L056_ _ _X. It is full-sized, not marked as LW or LT, has a shiny stock set, and vent rib skeet barrel (with 2 beads). The black recoil pad is marked "Decelerator" which I thought was a Pachmayr brand name.
Question - did Remington put this pad on or was it an add-on? (Whoever did it did a perfect fit job.)
Thanks in advance.
(PS: It is not for sale. I've wanted an 1100 for about 40 years!)

That could go either way,Remindton probably put it on.Factory 1100s come with reecoil pads so I would say it was done at the factory.I would give them a call to make sure.Nice gun by the way demand here in VA. is hihg for them!
Happy 4th!!

ADD ON . REMINGTON DID NOT HAVE 1100 20 GA. WITH RECOIL PADS.
I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.0 -
Ahhh... I beg to differ Mr. duckhunter! I purchased NEW NIB 1100 Rem 20 ga. MAG model with a recoil pad. This was back in Feb 73, I still have it today, and the recoil pad is still there. My 2 cent, good luck! ...Mark

As far as I know, any pad that Remington put on any gun says Remington on it, even though it was made by someone else.
Without the NRA, the second ammendment would already be gone!0 -
I have an 1100 20ga. and it hasn't any pad. Bought it in 1968. 0 -
Remington did not make a 20 ga. mag on the ful size frame the decelerator pad I don't think was made back in that period of time. The 20 ga. mag Lt &Lwt all had recoil pads. 0 -

Mr. ishootblanks is very correct, my recoil pad does have the Remington name on it. ...Mark
